Interesting DIY vertical axis wind turbine design, built with sheet metal and a bicycle wheel. Cites the US cost of $30, not including the generator, alternator, etc. Cites "using a "50% efficient car alternator (the simplest and cheapest option) should produce 158 watts of electricity in a 50 km/h wind, and 649 watts at 80 km/h" with this design." The video appears to be CC licensed, so we can put it into storage for distribution.

A really neat horizontal axis design for a wind turbine with a car DC fan motor as generator. Such motors can be found in scrapheaps and harvested from cars. Video is CC licensed, so will put into storage for offline distribution
